When carried on the person as in a sachet, wormwood will protect the bearer against bewitchment or crossings and also from attacks by sea serpents. When hung in a vehicle, wormwood will protect a vehicle from accidents. When used in love magic, wormwood can be used in an infusion or placed under a bed to bring a beloved to you. Wormwood (often blended with Sandalwood) can be burned in an incense to summon spirits. And, according to many witches' grimoires, if the incense is burned in a graveyard, it will help a person speak with the spirits of the dead.
