Shoyeido Palo Santo Incense Sticks
Shoyeido Palo Santo Incense Sticks
Part of Shoyeido's Overtones Collection.
Palo Santo, an aromatic wood of South American heritage, has been a medicinal and sacred tool for centuries, since the time of the Incan civilization. Citrus, pine, and aged wood are among the fragrant notes one will experience with Palo Santo - a true favorite.
We absolutely love and highly recommend Shoyeido incense. No stick or glues, and this incense is subtle with beautifully blended aromas. It is definitely recommended for anyone wanting to work with incense but are sensitive to smells. It does not seem to cause the headaches nor throat/lung irritations of some other brands.
- 1 bundle of 35 sticks, 8.75"
- Palo Santo, cinnamon, benzoin, and spices
- Approx. burning time: 50 min. per stick
About Shoyeido: For over 300 years, Shoyeido incense has been blended in Kyoto, Japan by their highly trained artisans employing centuries-old recipes and techniques. Specific ingredients are finely ground and mixed with pure water and a natural binding material called "tabuko" (machilus thunbergii). Because they use only natural components, the quality and ratio of each raw ingredient is critical to the final outcome. Moisture, drying time, and production methods are all major aspects of their blending process. Lacking the bamboo core seen in so-called "dipped" incense products, their mixtures are extruded, carefully shaped and then slowly dried. Shoyeido's manufacturing process is renowned for its quality and high standards.
