Isis was a prominent goddess in ancient Egyptian religion, known as a symbol of magic, healing, and motherhood. She was also associated with the afterlife, protecting women and children, and was considered a powerful figure in both royal and funerary practices. The worship of Isis spread throughout the Greco-Roman world with temples dedicated to her found in various regions. Furthermore, there is evidence to suggest that the cult of Isis influenced Christian imagery, particularly the veneration of Mary with the infant Jesus.
